November Catch Up

November was all fun and games until someone lost a job but thankfully it wasn't me. Heartless I know but it's the truth.

Highlight of November? Has to be Top Gear and meeting Hammond. The gy if fecking tiny but rocks like a god all the same.

Low Light of November? No fucking parking at Top Gear. Can anyone smell the irony?

Keep on keeping on

This month has been maic so far. My working life has taken some unexpected and not altogether appreciated turns. This is worrying given that my profession is that of providing a luxury rather than a neccessity and if I find myself on the queue it may be some time before I make my way back to employment again.

So its nose to the grind stone, yes boss, no boss, three bags full boss until it all becomes a bit more stable again.

Miss Week

I am having a very "miss" week with the choice of movies this week.

We went to see How to Lose Friends and Alienate People last night. I am a huge Simon Pegg fan but even his comic timing and charm coulnd't stop me from nodding off half way through.

Even Ms. AG was unimpressed and she'll watch anything.

Burn the Reel

Burn After Reading?

Very dissapointing. I was expecting Hudsucker, Fargo and instead got something that Kevin Smith could have directed on valum.

Miss.

Struck down in my prime

Looks like everyone had a good Halloween weekend. Everyone but me that is. I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today having deserted my Friday night plans when I was struck down with a deathly illness otherwise known as the flu.

So instead of strutting my fine home-made-costumed-arse over at the Pod, I was sat on my miserable-everyone-is-having-fun-but me-arse at home. Alone. Sniffelling and sneezing and generally trying to ward of the grim reaper.

And did Ms. AG find it in her heart to stay home and keep my forehead cool and unclamed? It appears our friendship doesn't extend to snot wiping or so she told me as she strutted out the door wig cladden and tarted up.

Im feeling a bit more like my old self today so I will be knocking over to see Burn After Reading this evening. I haven't heard great reports but I will judge this one for myself.

Vampire Evening

Went to see Vampire Weekend in The Ambassador last night.

IN 20 words of fewer:

Too many kids, I felt old but good to see genuine bands getting some recognition.

I had planned to make it over to Soundcheck but by the time we left the gig I felt like I needed to go home and put on my slippers and smoke a pipe.
